A Very Busy Time of Year and Lesson 71

Lesson 71 will be the last lesson for the year. It will run over 4 weeks instead of the normal 2 weeks. Because of this I have included extra samples. I know that it's a busy time for everyone. Christmas parties, family gatherings and that last minute bit of Christmas shopping. You are most welcome to come as many times as you like over the 4 weeks. If you have missed a particular lesson and wish to do it just let me know and I'll prepare it for you.
Our Christmas parties will be 16 and 19 December commencing at 9.00am for the lesson and 11.00am for the party. Please let me know if you'd like to attend.
And now to the samples...
The very talented artist Audrie Mangno-Gordon (Girl Geek Loves Stampin) made some fabulous Clean and Simple Cards using affirmation sentiments. I loved this idea so I had a go and added a box to make it a great present.

I really liked the partial embossing idea as well. I used a variety of stamps that we have used in other lessons and Pursuit of Happiness for the sentiments.
The Daydream Medallions and Floral Frames Framelits are a great combination.

The Framelits can be used without the stamp set as well.
And they do make stunning flowers!

And it wouldn't be Christmas without these!!!

The photo was taken in 2010 but they are still just as gorgeous.

Original idea from anewinkonlife.
Lesson dates are November 27, 28, Dec 2, 4, 5, 11, 12, 16, 18 and 19.

A Great Colour Combination

I love the Color Throwdown combination of Basic Black, Lucky Limeade, Night of Navy and Whisper White.

The sketch from Tui over at Freshly Made Sketches worked really well with the quote from the Pursuit of Happiness Stamp Set. http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com.au/

Christmas Trees

One of Stampin' Up's oldest current stamp set is Lovely As a Tree. I found lots of inspiration on Pinterest for these cards. I think that France Martin and Dawn Olshevski could have been the originators.

I got a little carried away with the Petite Pennants Builder Punch and made 5 cards using Garden Green and Wild Wasabi. Here is a sample.
If you have been keeping an eye on my blog you would have seen the two challenge cards using Happy Hour. Here is another one. Thanks to Fran Sabad for her inspiration
I found my old Waterfall Card instructions.

France Martin came up with a small bag based on the Kellie Gettlefinger ones we made.

Lesson dates are Nov 13, 14, 18, 20 and 21.

Another Happy Hour Card

I nearly finished this card last night.
It's a sketch from JAI http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com.au/ and a colour challenge from Pals Paper Arts http://www.palspaperarts.com/
Don't you just love the Argyle Folder.

A Monday Challenge

I really want to do more challenges and today I experienced an unexpected window of time.
It was a Happy Hour (name of stamp set).
The challenge was to use Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple (Dynamic Duo http://thedynamicduoschallenge.blogspot.com.au/) and a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com.au/

A bit of fussy cutting, Dazzling Details and two new inkpads!!!
