Lesson 37 The Big Shot

Many of you have bought your Big Shot and have really enjoyed using the embossing folders and some of you have been making boxes and milk cartons but did you know that you could also work with fabric.
In lesson 37 you will learn how to make a fabric/felt/fleece brooch/hair clip and cut fabric for a rag quilt purse.
You might also learn how to make a scallop circle or square easel card.
I will also teach you how to adhere fabric to cardstock and then cut and emboss in the Big Shot.
Finally, I have some cards made with the Sail Away stamp (Autumn/Winter Mini p 22).
Yes, that's quite a lot but I know you can do it.

Many thanks to chic'scratch (flowers and bag), Deb Fearn (Babushka) and  Mary Fish (Sail Away) for their fabulous inspiration.
Finally, thanks to Mum for making the red rag quilt bag.

Lesson 36 Just Believe in Motorbikes

Yes, I know that the title of this lesson is a bit strange but I wanted to highlight the two main stamp sets used.
Firstly, Motorcycle (Page 22 Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue $13.95) is a stamp I resisted buying because I felt that my colouring skills would not do it justice and I also thought that it would be too difficult to cut out. After doing a bit of a search I found many great cards using this stamp and let's face it, masculine cards are always in short supply. As part of this lesson we will be reviewing the use of bleach and faux leather.

Secondly, Just Believe (Page 79 Idea Book and Catalogue $59.95 wood and $47.95 clear) is a stamp set that I have only recently bought. I thought I had too many flower sets but I was wrong. Not only is it really versatile but it also works extremely well with the little rolled flowers.

Finally, for those who love construction we will be making a Box in a Bag and a Centre Step Card.
The dates are: June 14, 15, 19, 21, 22

Thanks to Diana Gibbs, smileslaura, mariestamps and yadroc5831 for their inspiration.
