Another Challenge Card

I should have been working on my swaps for the Stampin' Up Regionals but I had to try another Challenge.
Inkspirations Colour Challenge 92 http://inkspirations-challenges.blogspot.com/ and Paper Pals Arts 116
http://www.palspaperarts.com/ included a sketch and a colour challenge.
I quite like the combination of Cherry Cobbler and Not Quite Navy but the faux silk technique I tred made the Cherry Cobbler a bit pink.
I used another hostess set called Faith in Nature.

I wasn't sure about the end result but housework Monday is calling so here it is.

Happiest Birthday Wishes Lesson 45

It's time to make those birthday cards that you need even though you're probably concentrating on Christmas. The set "Happiest Birthday Wishes" is a hostess set with 11 stamps. You can get this set for $0. Contact me if you are interested.

Back to Christmas. Here are some peeks of  Stitched Stocking cards inspired by Ruthsstampingcorner.

Delys Cram posted these instructions for the Star Card http://delysc.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/star-card.pdf. I did the maths and made a  smaller version as well.

Finally the Backpack, with Splitcoaster instructions http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/backpackbox/ or try mine made with Big Shot Dies.
Dates for Lesson 45 are October 23, 25, 26 and November 1 and 2.

Just Add Ink 89 and Inkspirations 91 Challenge

I have been wanting to get involved in more challenges but sadly time has been against me. I noticed that a lot of people combined the challenges so I thought I'd give it a go.
I used Basic Black, Basic Grey, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie cardstock. The stamp sets, Funky Four and Happiest Birthday Wishes, were embossed with Black Embossing Powder. Lots of circle punches were used as well as the scallop circle from the Perfect Pennants Bigz Die. I sponged all pieces with Basic Grey ink and finished it off with Black Satin Ribbon.
Here are the links to the challenge sites. Have a look, leave a comment and play along if you like.
