New Year's Eve

Happy New Year's Eve everyone. Let's celebrate with another challenge. This time it's a sketch challenge from Pals Paper Arts.

Challenges for 2014

I am starting early on my New Year's Resolutions. Challenge myself I say and to that end you should see more posts with links to Challenge sites.
The first one is a combination of Colour Q and Freshly Made Sketches
It's a very clean and simple card but the colours and sketch work really well together.

Our Last Lessons for 2013

Because we have been including Christmas Cards in all lessons since 85 you should all have quite a good collection of Christmas Cards by now. Just in case you are a bit short here is a peek of the Christmas Collectible Cards.

This great set includes a box made with the Envelope Punch Board.
I have used the Lattice Bigz Die to make these.

Dates for Lesson 92 are December 3, 4, 10, 11 and 15.

Single Stamps and a Special Birthday

Stampin' Up has brought out a range of Single Stamps -New Holiday Collection. I used the Christmas Star and Wonderful Blessing stamps.

My beautiful granddaughter Jemima turned 8 yesterday. The One Direction presents had a red, black and white colour theme so the card had to match.

I found Andrea Cimino's Tepee Card video absolutely amazing. Here is my version.

As promised we will be making more with the Envelope Punch Board. In this lesson we will make a large box and these fabulous Bon Bons using Crafty Hallett's measurements.

Some New Tools

Stampin' Up knows that we love new things. It certainly knows that as life long learners we are always ready to embrace knowledge.

Hello, Lovely

Definitely not my usual greeting but I do have a friend who greets us all in this way.
She had a birthday recently so I made her this diary.

Not Long Until Christmas

It's back to work for me after more than a month's holiday. I think that I am actually over the jet lag having had quite a productive day. I bought Pages (word processing program) for the iMac and have done the lesson notes for Lesson 88. I had done most of the samples before I left but I must admit that I was quite out of my usual routine.
Well enough of me.
In this lesson we will be working with Flower Shop and Festive Flurry.

Everyone enjoyed making the little Pizza Box in Lesson 86 so I designed a Pizza Box large enough for regular cards and envelopes. These cards were designed by the fabulous Patty Bennett.

Just when I thought I had finished I came across a very cute Book Box designed by stampinnerd. I tweaked it a bit and here is a peek.

I Can't Thank You Enough

I was really spoilt on my birthday. Thanks to all of my family and friends for their kind and generous words, cards and gifts.
In lesson 86 we will be making some cards with Chalk Talk.
Here is a peek of a cute little Pizza Box with 6 marching cards and embossed envelopes.

The second set in this lesson is Flowering Flourishes.

I am particularly proud of this card. I chose Very Vanilla and Gold for this Wedding Card but it would look just as good in Whisper White and Silver.

We haven't done Rolled Roses for a while so let's get to it!

Backgrounds

I wanted to make a set of cards using Zoo Review. I decided to keep the stamped images simple and work on some new background techniques.

 

Even though  it's winter we can still use Summer Silhouettes especially if the colours are the new in Colours.
