Lesson 116

Another double Christmas lesson will finish us up for the year.
Firstly Holiday Home and the matching Homemade Holiday Framelit Dies. The Internet is awash with stunning uses for this set. Inspiration for this card came from stampspaperscissors and treehouse05.

I watched a fabulous video by Linda Higgins and made this diorama.

There was one set in the Holiday Catalogue that I was sure I would not buy but then I saw Julie Davison's Paper Piecing Cards and I was hooked. I have re-created her card here.

Would you believe that I have only used DSP in the card (and a little stamping).

Lesson 115

It's all about Christmas in this lesson. We will be using Wondrous Wreath. This card was inspired by Amy Koenders.

We have used this technique before to make 4 cards. I was reminded by Debbie Mageed at Secret Stamper.

I have used only the Merry Stamp from Seasonally Scattered in this lesson.

We will be experimenting with the Many Merry Stars Kit. I will demonstrate  how to make the regular box, decoration box and 2 kinds of opening boxes.

I have made 2 sets of gift boxes. Firstly my Under the Tree Selection.

And Santa and Co!

Lesson 114

It's all about Christmas in this lesson. 

Santa Stache is for those who like something a little quirky.

Lesson 113

This beautiful card using the set Partridge and Pears was inspired by Karen Barber. I loved the way she used a variety of blendabilities.

This elegant card is made with Shimmer Cardstock. It is a little larger than usual because of the Filigree Frame Embossing Folder.

This little cutie was made after I watched a tutorial by the ever amazing Pootles. I changed the dimensions to fit 3 Aldi Merci Chocolates.

This card made with the Hello Darling Set works well with the Emboss Resist Technique.

Lesson 112

Everyone loves a little glitter and the Endless Wishes Set makes it easy!

The All is Calm DSP and the Cheerful Tags Sets works really well with these hand cream boxes.

A box of Christmas Notelets makes a great gift.

More Christmas cards and gift ideas in this lesson. We will be using the Bright and Beautiful set with the matching Framelits.

These cards were made using the Decorative Masks and Daubers. 

I really like these Stamp Sets: Dotty Angles and Fabulous Four. We will revisit the Mini Magazine Holder.

Lesson 110

Let's get ready for Christmas. I must admit that it does seem a little early but if every lesson before December includes a Christmas Stamp Set you will be well and truly organised and you all know how I love organisation. More of that later.
My favourite bundle in the Holiday Catalogue was Festival of Trees. So let's get started.

For all those who are a bit unsure about Photopolymer Stamps you will be able to give them a really good test because the second set for this lesson, Bordering Blooms, is also photopolymer.

And this is the Curvy Keepsake Box.

This leads me to my story about organisation. It's a long story but to cut it short I think I accidentally threw out the little framelit tags that came with the Box Die. Oh no!!! I think that the For You looks good but those little Tag Dies (page 11) would have looked even better. I always remind you to take care of the little framelits. I should have listened to myself.
A shopping trip to Harbourtown including Crabtree and Evelyn supplied us all with great gift opportunities. We'll start with the soap. Here is the darling little box.

Lesson 109

Firstly congratulations to Judy Wagner. She was the winner of my Everyday Occasions Kit Competition. Over 2 weeks we made the 20 cards in the kit and got a feel for a different style of card making.

In Lesson 109 we will be making cards with the hostess set Bloom with Hope.

It's also time for some baby cards with Something for Baby.

I haven't forgotten Fathers Day.

For those who love constructing little gifts we will be making these Tic Tac holders. Thanks to Kards by Kadie for her inspiration.
